Biography & Credentials
Moses Altsech is a dual citizen of the United States and the European Union, and has lived in the U.S. since 1987. Having grown up in a country where hospice is virtually nonexistent, he has a unique perspective on the critical importance of hospice and palliative care. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and International Business from the University of Cincinnati and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University. He is the Marketing Department Chair at the Edgewood College MBA Program and CEO of Marketing Hospice. Fluent in 3 languages, Dr. Altsech has traveled to more than 40 countries in 5 continents, acquiring a wealth of international experience on business, social-demographic and healthcare issues. Professor Altsech's areas of expertise include Healthcare Marketing, Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, Marketing Planning, Employee Retention, Marketing Research, and Marketing Communications: Over the years, his research has been presented at state and national conferences and published in several prestigious publications. Dr. Altsech has appeared as an expert on numerous television and radio programs, has been featured in several magazine and newspaper articles, and is the recipient of numerous professional awards and distinctions. Professor Altsech has nearly two decades of experience as a Marketing Consultant, researcher, and public speaker. His clients come from a variety of fields, including hospice and palliative care, other healthcare fields, higher education, luxury hospitality, food service, the arts, advertising, and many more; a testament to his diversity of experience and talent for applying his knowledge and skills to helping a wide range of organizations thrive! Over the years he has also built an extensive professional network and has facilitated networking for both individuals and organizations.
Dr. Altsech is the author of the Strategic Marketing Toolkit: Success Strategies for Hospice, published by the HOPE of Wisconsin and Hospice Minnesota thanks to a generous grant by the Bremer Foundation. He also writes the bi-monthly hospice marketing column "Marketing Matters," published in the Wisconsin Hospice Times. He is the Founder of the Hospice Advocacy Group, encouraging hospice and palliative care professionals to become proactive hospice advocates at the national level and their local communities, and a regular keynote speaker at State hospice conferences.
